Special Events
Crook County Parks and Recreation District plans, implements, and/or co-sponsors a number of Special Events throughout the year. See below for events coming to town.
The Daddy/Daughter Dance is an Annual Event scheduled within a week of Valentines Day. This is a great event for daughters and dads (or granddads) to get together and have a good time. Dinner, games, and music always provided.

For the past two years, CCPRD has coordinated the Crook County Cleanup focusing efforts on both open spaces and waterways in Crook County. The 2009 Cleanup, titled "Down by the Riverside", cleaned up sections of the Crooked River, Ochoco Creek, and Prineville Reservoir. The 2010 Cleanup expanded to include Ochoco Lake, the Youth Angling Pond, downtown Prineville, and the old railroad grade.

The Fishing Derby is an annual event that always occurs on the first Saturday in May.

The Ice Cream Social is an event coinciding with the opening of the swimming pool each June. Swim prices are reduced and their is plenty of ice cream to go around on this hot summer day.
This is an annual event formerly known as Summer Fest. It has a Western theme and always coincides with the Crooked River Roundup and Carnival in late June

This is an annual event that coincides with Western Daze in late June. Each year, CCPRD brings the Carnival to town during Roundup week for some additional fun and excitement!
Wristbands are on sale the Monday before the party.

Santa's Workshop is an annual event held in November! Each year, a number of volunteers work with CCPRD to create a number of projects for kids to engage in.

Join us for some music, food, and games, and ring in the New Year on wheels! Wrist bands will be available for advance purchase at the District Office - Monday before the party! Space is always limited so plan ahead.
