SWIMMING POOL
Splash your way into some fun in the sun at the swimming pool!
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, the heated outdoor pool, open from mid-June through August, is the place for youngsters to be once school lets out! The average pool temperature during the summer is 82º and the pool measures 80 x 45 feet. It is maintained daily by the Parks maintenance crew and pool staff.
Parks and Recreation kicks off the summer swim season each year with a low cost swim for kids that includes an ice cream social held on the last day of school at the swimming pool, 399 NE Garner Street.
There are special designated times for public swim and family lap swim, as well as swim meets and swim team practice times. You can pick up a swim schedule at the pool. We have provided you with our pool schedule below. Or click here* to print out a copy.

Swim Classes A large variety of classes at the swimming pool are offered during the summer. The classes range from beginning swim lessons, for youth, Aquacise for adults, and Big Fish/Little Fish. Swim lessons are available for youth five and older, and must be 42 inches tall. The last Friday of each two-week session is used for a fun day, or a time that allows for cancelled lessons to be made up due to inclement weather. Just stop by our office to register for a program.
Private Parties The swimming pool may be reserved for private parties on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for a two-hour session. Cost is $40 for the pool rental with no more than 40 swimmers. In addition to the pool rental fee, two lifeguards are required at a cost of $25 each. The pool fee is paid at the Parks office, and the lifeguards are paid individually at the pool at the time of your party. You may bring your own water toys for use during your swimming party. Reservations must be made and fees paid at least two weeks in advance of your party date. Swim punchcards may be purchased at the Parks office. This is for your convenience, to purchase multiple swim sessions at one time. The 2009 prices are Youth/Senior/Lap: 20 punches - $40; Adult: 10 punches $30
